Mission Statement: The mission of the non-profit CHRISTOPHER N. INGRASSIA MEMORIAL ORGANIZATION is to raise money to promote and provide educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for underprivileged children. The Organization plans to raise money through various fund raising events intended to celebrate the memory of Chris and create awareness for its cause.

About Chris: Chris was born and raised in Watchung, New Jersey. He was an all-state wrestler and football player at Watchung Hills Regional High School. He continued his football career at Princeton University where he was a varsity letter winner and Economics major. Before his tragic death on September 11th, Chris had recently returned from London where he was a partner with Cantor Fitzgerald. He is well remembered for his love of family, remarkable charisma, and sense of humor.

The event to be sponsored: THE CHRIS CLASSIC, a golf tournament to be held on Monday, August 1st, 2011, at the Mercer Oaks Golf Club in West Windsor, New Jersey.

Currently, the Organization supports Community House program in Princeton, NJ, which offers numerous academic, cultural, athletic, and social opportunities that otherwise would not be available to children in the greater Trenton area. The Organization also offers its support to the Valerie Fund, which provides comprehensive healthcare to children with cancer and blood disorders; Camp Fatima, a non-profit, all-volunteer recreational camp for children with disabilities; as well as a memorial scholarship in Chris’ name given annually to two seniors from his high school.
